Brief Description

FREE SHIPPING! This is a 1930's Supertone guitar that originally had a tailpiece and I put on a fixed compensated bridge that sounds much better. The guitar intonates and plays very nicely. No sharps when playing up the neck and the action is jazz low. I am not sure if the back and sides and top are maple or birch but they are definitely solid. The neck appears to be maple and the fingerboard rosewood. The nut seems to be the original bone or ivory and the saddle is a new bone saddle with lots of room to lower action in the future. The top and sound hole have real binding but the fingerboard design is painted. The sound hole has a little warping but the top is true and crack free. There are no cracks anywhere on this guitar. plank style machine heads look to be original and the frets have very little wear. The frets are non radius and the string action down the middle is 25 1/8 inches. The lower bout is 14 3/4 inches and the upper bout is 10 3/4 inches. The depth of the body is 3 1/2 inches and the nut width is 1 3/4 inches. This really is a sweet little player and the wear marks around the edges add to the vintage look I think. The neck is straight and true and the sound is bright and crisp and spanky. Guitar only with no case included.
