  2. Eastman AC120 Dreadnought Guitar

    Eastman AC120 Dreadnought Guitar SOLD

    $329.00

    Out of stock

This used Eastman dreadnought is their entry level basic plain jane with nothing fancy but it does sound better than any other guitar maker I have seen at this price. Features a solid Sitka Spruce top and a bone nut & saddle with a hard shell case included. The sound is really full due to the thin top and hand-carved scalloped X bracing - not something usually seen at this price. Eastman is a Chinese company that has established a fine reputation for high quality guitars, violins & mandolins. This particular guitar has low action and no wear on the frets and no problems other than some pick wear around the sound hole and a few scratches and scuffs. Learn More

  4. 1930's Kalamazoo KG-14 Tenor Guitar

1930's Kalamazoo KG-11 Tenor Guitar SOLD

    $1,200.00

    Out of stock

This is maybe the lightest guitar I have ever picked up. It weighs right under 2 lbs! This guitar is so resonant and sweet sounding. This is of course the Kalamazoo brand made by Gibson in the 1930's. This is the KG-11 model with a solid spruce top, solid mahogany back & sides, bound top, firestripe pickguard, rosewood fingerboard, and beautiful sunburst finish. Everything is original except the bridge pins. The tuners actually hold a tune well unlike some of these old friction pegs. The action is very low and it plays like butter. There are no top cracks or back cracks. The neck is very straight and the frets are hardly worn. No fret buzz with the current low action. It is in very good condition with the following exceptions: (1) There is a small area in the bridge between the D and G string pegs that has been repaired but it is really hard to see. It just looks like the finish is missing there in about a quarter inch diameter area. The headstock has a little section above the nut that looks as if it chipped out when someone removed the nut at some point. The chip out looks professionally repaired and the hairline joinery can be seen about 3/4 of an inch up from the nut. The chip out does not extend deeper than about 1/8 of an inch at its thickest. The crack does not extend down any further than that and you can see there are no hairline cracks on the back of the neck or on the side. ( 3) There is a clean crack on the bottom of the guitar that extends about 3 inches in each direction from the end pin. The original hard shell case is included and it is in very good condition. 15. 1930's Supertone Parlor Guitar

    1930's Supertone Parlor Guitar SOLD

    $295.00

    Out of stock

FREE SHIPPING! Super clean SuperTone from the 1930's. Parlor size (12 3/4 size lower bout) Hawaiian stencil motif with very cool inlaid checkerboard binding. The SuperTone brand was the precursor to the Sears Silvertone brand. The top, back & sides are solid birch. All original tuners and even the bridge pins appear to be original. There are no cracks or dings. The action is low and the neck straight. The frets are straight across like old parlor guitars and not the modern frets with a curved radius. Currently it has Martin Silk & Steel strings on it to lesson the tension on this lightly constructed old guitar. Plays very well but the bass strings go a little sharp above the 5th fret due to the saddle not being compensated. Like most old parlor guitars, nylon strings would intonate better than steel strings on this guitar. There is no case with the guitar. Learn More

The Maybell brand was made by Slingerland and the quality and craftmanship in this period of production was quite good. These guitars were not quite on the level of Gibson's & Martin's of the period but they still were made well and lightly built. It has a Solid spruce top that is crack free and birch back and sides with a dark stain. The action is very nice and low on this guitar and the neck is straight. Currently it has Silk & Steel strings on it to lesson the strain on the delicate and aged body. 24. 1930's Maybell Acoustic Guitar by Slingerland

1930's Maybell Acoustic Guitar by Slingerland

    $1,250.00

FREE SHIPPING! Interesting Maybell guitar from the 1930's. This has an arched top and a round sound hole. Kind of has a gypsy jazz guitar feel and sound with a brightness and plucky notes that ring out with punch but do not have a lot of lingering sustain. Well suited for fast runs and chunky rhythm chords. Solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Looks like the original tuners and maybe original tailpiece and bridge. I could not find much information or images of this model so I am not sure about what the stock tailpiece and bridge looked like. There are a few small hairline cracks on the back and on the top at the bottom and top of the lower bout and the side has a hairline crack near the treble side. Just had a neck re-set and it plays and sounds fantastic. It has pearl dot markers and snow flake markers at the 7th and 12th fret. The interior was lacquered at the factory. Learn More
